Yes, it's a setting sun, pouring down like gold.

We like it.

The Living Sky Casino in Swiftcurrent. I think it's appropriately named.

Whoops, guys! [personal profile] onyxlynx pointed out that we tabled Water as a prompt at the last aperture, when Animals and Water tied. So I've deleted the poll below -- we'll come back to these prompts in a couple weeks!

The new aperture theme is Water.

I have a cat that loves water! She drinks the water off her paw and loves having it all over her face. The droplets are like little diamonds. What isn't very wonderful is when she shakes all this water onto my bare legs when I am brushing my teeth. Brrr!

My apologies. As usual, I got photos edited after the end of the aperture. A couple animal photos - and a couple light photos, still topical! :)

Past/present/future light (playing with the word light, yes):

I love light. And of course, light is what makes photography possible. But there is a certain time of day when the quality of light is just perfect and it makes me itch for my camera.

This first picture is possibly more about the solid subject than it is about light, but it captures pretty well the kind of light I like the best. Sort of full & almost golden.
