Apparently
sasha_feather and I both felt the pull of the cemetery! This is Hillcrest Memorial in Mendocino, California. There's a large Portuguese community on the coast and their graves are kinda clustered together in one area of the cemetery. (Most came around the turn of the 20th century to work in the logging camps.)

I have not been doing very well lately and consequently have not been keeping up with
shutterspeed, so this challenge is pretty much made for me. Sigh.
One for decay/collapse, and a few more beyond the cut...

This is the sign over the Temple Kwan Tai, believed to be one of the oldest Taoist temples in North America, built by the Chinese community in Mendocino. I would lay some history on y'all about the Chinese in California, but this is a photo community, not a history one.

Ah, the ongoing saga of the door. Fully a year after I pointed out that it was rotten, Landlord decided to do something about it. The funny thing about rotting things is that if you leave them to rot for a year, the rot gets worse.
On the other hand, I was just complaining about poor ventilation, so maybe I should be thankful for the large hole in my door.

From the Mendocino Fourth of July Parade, an (in)famous annual event. Lots more pictures up at my Flickr if you're interested in seeing non-blue things!
