Patterns - one new, and one slightly less

Quirks of the job: a heat sink in a Dell Optiplex GX780 looking rather exotic close up.




I know this one is tilted, but the pattern isn't quite as striking when it's rotated properly. Taken about two months ago on a whim, but forgotten about and recently re-discovered in the course of picking shots for this assignment.

Art Deco! That's the word I was looking for. "Something out of a '30s Batman movie cocktail party scene" just doesn't roll off the keyboard the same way. ;P

Both marvellous photos, and I'm torn between them (not that I need to vote) but that heat sink is just gorgeous! I love the complete lack of reference or scale (unless you count dust, I guess) and the brilliant silvery shine.
