[personal profile] martyna
Since this is my first post to this community, let me present myself:
My name is [personal profile] martyna, I'm a twenty-something student of Japanese and Economics in Paris, France and basically I know little about photography. I've got my Nikon D50 from my family upon graduation from high school (my mum is very enthused about photographing herself), but never took a lot of pictures with it - it is simply too heavy to just run around with it in addition to my university stuff and I don't have a habit of going out just to take pictures, prefer to do so on the go.
Is there anything else you'd like to know?

By the way, has anyone here tried to post images here hosted by deviantArt?

For full size go to flickr.

So what do you think are these? )

A wicker lamp with thel ight on. Light glows around the gaps between wicker strips.

A *different* wicker object! It's raining and hailing today, had to get creative indoors.

turlough: vintage drawing of someone making a Swiss roll ((other) i love baking)

I took these earlier today while I was doing the ironing (such boring work!). I'm quite fond of this type of vintage tablecloth and apparently it makes quite effective photos too.

These are called Persian Buttercups.  I've never seen petals packed so tightly into a fully open flower before.

comfy with android spiders

Or at least these nylon spiders have done.

Straight (but cropped) from my Canon A590 (for which I may have figured out how to get a battery life longer than thirty shots)
