We aren't sure what this plant is, but every few months it puts out one lonely flower.

Looks like a peace lily.

Looked peace lily up and I do believe you are correct. Have to let my coworker know it likes where it is. He's been feeling guilty about it being in such a low light area, but according to a couple sites peace lilies like low light.
