So of course he was super-active, which was cool, but in a dark environment, which meant needing a long shutter. Then he finally stopped, but his nose was behind the plant. Gr.
If anyone's interested, it's a Green Tree Boa, shot with a macro lens. Some of the scales back where he has the white spots, really do look awesome in full size.

Date: 2010-04-24 02:35 pm (UTC)For those who haven't realized, I shot this at a zoo. I was able to mitigate most of the issues of having glass between me and the snake, but my angle on the guy was limited.
But, yeah, he was lit from above in the enclosure, so the light passed through his protruding eye. Wild, eh?
