Two purple ducks

I had a most difficult time getting the pic of the Devil Ducky. I have two and I could not snap a pic of either one that showed they were purple! Every pic except this one had them blue. Color me very confused!

Looking through your EXIF data, it looks like your white balance was strongly skewed to blue. Is there a mode on your camera where you can adjust your white balance? That might help your purples look purplier...?

I can, I've had it on automatic white balance, so will futz with the other options and see how things go :)

My Sony digital camera does the same thing. I was planning to manipulate the images back to purple somehow because darn it, that house and that fence and that wild iris were purple!

I LOVE the feathery duck photo in particular. Nice composition and lighting, and it's funny.

The feathery duck is fun. He's a pen and I pull him out of the pen cup on days when I really need some serious whimsy at work :D

I have a hard time getting my camera to recognize some blue things (especially flowers) as blue, and NOT purple. Very strange.
