( Water )This is Volo Bog in Northern Illinois. This may be one of my all time favorite shots I've taken ever. I don't do a lot of landscapes, but this one was pretty cool. It's actually one of two that will be going into a contest as a set - this is the second one with wider perspective and a break in the clouds.

Hi all, I'm another LJ refugee, I'll try not to make myself a nuisance.
I see one of the old prompts is "macro"; I was just thinking the other day that I haven't shot any in a long time -- I've been using mostly film lately. Here's one of my favorites, from a couple of years ago.
I wrote a haiku about it:
Perfectly round red
shell--I'm always surprised when
a ladybug flies.

We just got back from a big trip to Salt Lake City, and I took about 200 photos while we were out there! You can see a selection of them here.
