I'm enjoying how much these self-shadow pictures seem to say about the photographer--or at least, how much the make me guess at what's going on. Are you in a wheelchair? I can see a whole story here having to do with curb cuts and accessibility.
But there's also something just generally kind of cheering and universal about the little rectangle of camera in shots like these, as if we're waving our little flag to one another.
You guessed right (my icon based on sasha_feather photo). The story includes constant checking: is the ramp navigable? is there another one across the way? can I use driveway or must I go in road?
I adore the notion of a very thinly-spread mob of photographers, all waving.
