I guess it falls under the last challenge as well as the current one. o_O.

Lines and Patterns

I'm not as happy with these as I wish I were. The first one's kind of neat, but I can't remember where I took it or what it was (ack). Probably something in the server room, but....

At any rate, these are the three best lines-and-patterns I got during this aperture. I've been enjoying the other photos a lot more than mine this time around!

Lines and Patterns 5

One last lines and Patterns attempt! I'm looking forward to the next Aperture in the hope that I'll have a better eye for whatever it is.

3: Lines and patterns

I took a walk along a gorge and a waterfall last weekend, and it was just gorgeous! And also full of interesting water-cut rocks; a lot of the landscape around here is shale, which is layered and fractures along layers and faults to make really neat lines and patterns. Here's a shot of some rough water and the lines in the rock:

I always think that the stone looks so neat and tidy, like layercake or a stack of papers or something.

Cake batter, shot in closeup. It is sort of mauve-coloured.

In honour of Three Weeks for Dreamwidth, I decided to make red velvet cupcakes. The batter intrigued me from a patternly perspective.

growth and lines

We finally got a little bit of sun yesterday, so I went to the lake. For growth, plants in the crevices of a stone retaining wall:

Lines & Patterns

I'm not sure entirely why, but this Aperture topic was a challenge for me! In the end, I took 2 photos that I am okay with. (Click through for bigger sizes!)

the rusty blades of a lawnmower

I walked by this rusty lawnmower sitting on someone's lawn a few days back, and thought the blades looked neat in the sun.

Lines and Patterns: My Third Post

This challenge continues to be challenging for me--I seem to censor myself, or my eye, or something. But I did spot this the other day.
