Fountains and lakes

One shot of water from a fountain - I'm actually very pleased with how it came out, I'd just had my eyes dilated at an eye exam and wasn't seeing very well what I was working with even with the sunglasses. Below the cut, I included a photo I took a long time ago but that I'm very proud of that I think meets both water and light.

After the rain

I couldn't get the camera to focus properly (I hate autofocus!) but I still like the way the sun glitters in the water drops.

Two for the water challenge

Fountain

I wanted to try taking photos of flowing water at different shutter speeds (aha! See what I did there?!). The fast ones came out better - I didn't have a tripod for taking the slow ones, so they all came out blurry.

And some very, very green water. )

Water

I have a cat that loves water! She drinks the water off her paw and loves having it all over her face. The droplets are like little diamonds. What isn't very wonderful is when she shakes all this water onto my bare legs when I am brushing my teeth. Brrr!

new aperture: Water!

Whoops, guys! [personal profile] onyxlynx pointed out that we tabled Water as a prompt at the last aperture, when Animals and Water tied. So I've deleted the poll below -- we'll come back to these prompts in a couple weeks!

The new aperture theme is Water.
