I feel like this aperture is going to be a bit of a challenge, since I don't leave my house a lot, so I was pleasantly surprised when I went to take out the garbage and noticed a snarl of snail trails on my walkway. Viewing in a larger size provides slime in greater detail, if you are into that sort of thing.

I was thinking about this aperture myself last night, wondering how dull it would be for me to snap pictures of my bike path, the streets from my office building, etc., when it occurred to me: geese flying in a V. Jet contrails. Ants going marching one by one hurrah hurrah.

I have to admit, snail slime did NOT occur to me. This is fantastic.

Thank you! I'm hoping that someday I'll be able to achieve one of my ultimate photography goals: Catching snails/slugs in the act of mating. A friend of mine has this *amazing* picture on her wall and you can see the detailed slime trails winding around each other as well as the deed itself. (Would snail porn have to be hidden behind a cut to spare delicate sensibilities?)

Only if young snails (snailings? snailitos?) read shutterspeed
