This is gorgeous! What a great shot.

Scrub jays are the most fearless, raucous birds! You have to approach quickly and wave your arms a lot to even get them to hop away to the next branch, they are so contemptuous of mere humans. So it's easier to move in for a shot of them than for most other birds.

This one is one of a pair that lives in my yard and drives me NUTS with their squawking. But I kind of like them.
