This photo looked very washed-out and dull in colour but when I changed it to b/w it suddenly came alive.

I love the contrast between Lancecat and the underbrush behind him. this is very striking in black and white.

Yeah, it's a startling difference to how it looked in colour, he and the brush had almost the same colour then.

Oh, that's wonderful! It brings out the wild creature in the kitty-cat. I love the tangle of branches and the way they're echoes in the cat's stripes.
I would imagine all of that would have been rather lost in color. Nice choice!

Yeah, in colour almost everything was the same hue of washed-out golden-y beige, rather drab and boring.
