Challenge: animals

I am incredibly proud of how well this came out - very low light and through glass

Well done! That's a very tricky setting in which to photograph. Also, I can't help but think of Livingston, Picard's fish from Star Trek: TNG.

Ohhh, stunning. You are very right to be proud of this one.

That is a gorgeous shot. Very well done for low-light conditions, too - especially since I suspect any lighting issues could have muddied the fish into the background, but it's standing out nice and clear.

Lovely!

That would be a stunning photo even if taken under ideal conditions! I love the contrast between the black background and the lighted tips of the dorsal fins, and the way the stripes and colours of the fish contrast with the gravel on the bottom.

Perhaps the fish is hoping for a new career as the Piscine Super-Model? That's a wonderful shot!

Fantastic photo! I've tried taking pics of my fish and have never even come close to this. What kind of fish and is it freshwater or salt?
