Thanks! Like I was telling the poster above, I was able to use my flash to bring out his colors and use a very high shutter speed.

The keeper that was in feeding them was pretty funny. She saw me turning in circles and checking out all the doors and finally asked what I was looking for. I said the 'no flashes allowed' sign and she said that the room was so bright and that the birds were so mellow that flashes were fine. I got some of my best shots that day when they moved close enough for my built in flash to be of help. :)

So, even if you have good lighting, try using your flash on the cats. :)
